The rules presented here are optional house rules for Call of Cthulhu d20 and the d20 rules system, and will require the use of the Call of Cthulhu d20 rules book.

Comely Influence [General]
You know how to use your physical beauty to influence others.
(Note: This feat requires the use of the the Comeliness rule on the Miscellaneous Rules page).

Benefit: You can use your physical beauty to influence the way people react to you instead of using your Charisma bonus.

Your Comeliness bonus can be used as a bonus to the skills Bluff, Diplomacy, Gather Information & Perform. It also applies to any other skill or check where you are trying to influence others to do something for you, make them believe something, make them pay attention to you, etc. and your Charisma bonus could normally be applied to the check (even if you don't have a Charisma bonus, or even if you have a Charisma penalty).

In addition, your Comeliness bonus can be added to your check, instead of your Charisma bonus, when attempting to influence the attitude of an NPC (see NPC Attitudes on pages 225-6 of the CoC d20 rulebook).

If the character has the Leadership feat (if the game master allows it to be used, detailed on page 45 of the 3rd Edition Dungeon Masters Guide), she can add her Comeliness bonus instead of Charisma bonus (or lack thereof) to her Leadership score.

Special:Your Comeliness bonus adds to the DC of any spell or spell-like effect such as charm person, suggestion, etc. that you attempt to cast on another character. This is true as long as the target of the spell can see you and that you are in your true form (i.e. are not polymorphed into some other creature, which would not share your Comeliness score).

Note: There are probably many skill and other checks with which this feat can be used with, and many others with which it cannot. The game master should use her best judgement in determining what skills and checks this feat can be used toward. Note also that we will continue to add more specifics as we better learn the new d20 system!!!
