Instructions

Download the DH2005AdminInst.exe file to your computer.

Double click DH2005AdminInst.exe and follow the prompts to install the Admin Utility.

Run the utility using the shortcut (on the desktop or in the Start menu).
Usage Tips
Using the program should be self explanatory, but if you are having trouble,
here are some tips.

If you're not sure how a particular parameter affects the game server,
hover your mouse over the parameter to get a tool tip!

If you installed the Deer Hunter 2005 game to a directory/folder other than the default,
make sure to select the Game Server Directory where you installed the game,
otherwise the server will not launch properly.

The utility cannot change parameters for the dedicated game server WHILE the server is running.
To run the game server with different parameters using this utility,
you must Quit the dedicated game server, change your parameters in the utility,
then use "Create Batch & Run" to launch the dedicated server again.
[If anyone knows of a way to send parameters to the server after it is launched
(other than in the chat window of the server) let me know!]

You can either have the admin utility generate a batch file
for you to run manually at a later time (the "Create Batch File" button),
or you can have the utility both generate the batch file and
then run it automatically for you (the "Create Batch & Run" button).
In either case, the batch file is generated and saved,
complete with the parameters you have chosen in the utility,
and it can be run manually at any time.

You might want to create a series of batch files,
where each batch file loads the game server with a unique set of parameters.
Do this by simply providing a unique
Batch File Name each time you change the parameters and
click either of the "Create..." buttons.

The settings for the current Parameter Profile are saved each time you use either of the
"Create..." buttons or the "Save Parameters" button.
These Profile settings are stored in a text file
located in the same folder as the DH2005Admin.exe program file.
You specify the filename of this text file in the Parameter Profile textbox.
Using this feature, you can store many Parameter Profiles that you
can simply load and run.
Note that if a Parameter Profile .txt file is moved or deleted from the program's root directory,
that profile will no longer appear in the saved
Parameter Profile list.
If there are no saved Parameter Profile text files in the program's folder
(such as when you first run the Server Admin utility),
the program will load a default set of parameters.

Known Issues: Unfortunately, one minor issue slipped past me!
When it sets the starting time (aka "First Day Hour") in the batch (.bat) file,
it does not create the field name properly.
It should create it as First_Day_Hour but instead FirstDayHour is created (which doesn't mean anything to the server).
Until I have time to update the utility, simply us the Server Admin utility to save off your parameters into a .bat file.
Then right click and Edit the .bat file you created (it should open in Notepad), changing FirstDayHour to First_Day_Hour and then saving it.
Finally, double click the .bat to launch the game server.
